Find procurement consulting firms and sourcing practice owners

This is for vendors selling into procurement consultancies, not for companies hiring one. These firms are easy to find and hard to qualify: no database field carries CIPS accreditation, whether a practice works direct or indirect spend, which categories it actually covers, or whether it is cleared to bid for public money. Search on those, and Causo reads CIPS Corporate Award and professional register listings, ISM and CPSM credentials, Government Commercial Agency framework supplier lists, Contracts Finder, Find a Tender, SAM.gov and USAspending award records and category manager job postings firm by firm, then shows you the evidence behind every match.

Ask anything about a procurement consultancy or sourcing firm

Every result is a starting point, not an endpoint. Ask a follow-up about any firm on your list in plain English and the agents go back out and read for it, then answer with the sources they used.

Do they hold any procurement accreditation, and at what grade?
Answer

Yes. The firm holds the CIPS Corporate Award, and four of the nine consultants named on the team page appear on the CIPS professional register as MCIPS.

SourcesCIPS accreditation and professional register listings + the firm’s own team page
Do they work direct spend or indirect, and which categories?
Answer

Indirect, mostly. The published case studies cover IT, marketing, facilities and logistics spend, and there is no bill-of-materials or direct materials work anywhere on the site.

SourcesCase studies, capability pages and published client work
Can they sell to government, and have they actually won anything?
Answer

Yes on both. They sit on the procurement and supply chain lot of a national consultancy framework, and two awards to public buyers were published in the last twelve months.

Procurement consultancies are not hidden. They publish case studies, they speak at sourcing conferences, they bid for public work in the open, and Apollo or ZoomInfo will hand you the firm name, an employee band and a city without complaint. The problem starts one filter later. Contact databases are assembled from firmographics and web signals: industry code, headcount band, revenue estimate, location, sometimes a detected technology. None of those fields tells you whether a firm holds the CIPS Corporate Award or how many of its consultants are MCIPS, whether it is certified through ISM or holds CPSM credentials, whether it works direct materials or indirect and tail spend, which categories it has actually delivered in, whether it is a supplier on a public sector framework and on which lot, or which client sectors sit behind the logos on the homepage. Those facts are published. They sit in CIPS and ISM accreditation and credential listings, in the Government Commercial Agency framework supplier lists that were Crown Commercial Service until April 2026, in Contracts Finder and Find a Tender award notices that name who actually won the consultancy lot, in SAM.gov entity registrations, GSA Multiple Award Schedule listings and USAspending award records on the US side, and in the category manager and sourcing lead postings that show whether there is capacity to deliver next quarter. They are just not fields, so no filter reaches them.

Frequently asked questions.

Start from the registers these firms have to appear in rather than from a contact database. CIPS publishes corporate accreditation and a professional register of MCIPS and FCIPS holders, ISM certifies individuals through CPSM and CPSD, the Government Commercial Agency publishes the supplier list for every UK framework lot, and Contracts Finder, Find a Tender, SAM.gov and USAspending record who actually won the work. Causo reads those alongside Companies House, the state business registries and category manager job postings, so a list can be built on accreditation, spend category and framework status rather than on an industry label.

Because accreditation is not a field in those databases. Apollo and ZoomInfo are assembled from firmographics and web signals: industry code, headcount band, location and sometimes a detected technology. Procurement accreditation is published by the professional bodies instead. CIPS lists corporate accreditation and holds a professional register of MCIPS and FCIPS practitioners, and ISM certifies individuals through CPSM and CPSD. Causo reads those listings directly, which is what turns accreditation into something searchable.

A procurement consultancy advises: it runs spend analysis, designs a category strategy, benchmarks suppliers and hands the client a plan, usually on a project fee. A procurement outsourcing or managed services provider does the buying, running categories, tenders and supplier management as an extension of the client’s team, usually on a multi-year contract or a share of savings. Plenty of firms sell both, and the website rarely says which side the revenue comes from. Service pages, pricing language and the roles the firm recruits for do.

Read the case studies and the job adverts together. A firm working direct spend writes about bills of materials, tooling, contract manufacturing, freight lanes and supplier quality, and it recruits commodity buyers and supplier development engineers. A firm working indirect spend writes about IT, marketing, professional services, facilities, travel and tail spend, and it recruits category managers and sourcing analysts. Neither is an industry code, so no contact database field separates them.

Go to the award records. In the United Kingdom the Government Commercial Agency, which was Crown Commercial Service until April 2026, publishes the supplier list for each framework lot, and Contracts Finder and Find a Tender carry the award notices with buyer, value and date. In the United States a firm has to be registered on SAM.gov to hold a federal award, GSA publishes Multiple Award Schedule contract listings, and USAspending records what was actually paid. Those records name the firms that have already delivered public sector sourcing work rather than the ones that say they can.

It is read at the moment you search rather than pulled from a stored snapshot, so a framework place awarded last month, a contract award notice published last week or a category manager role posted on Monday appears in this month’s results.

Yes. The professional bodies are already international: CIPS has more than 60,000 members across over 150 countries, and ISM certifies supply management professionals worldwide. The public record changes by country, so Causo uses the local equivalent: SAM.gov, GSA Multiple Award Schedule listings and USAspending in the United States, Contracts Finder and Find a Tender in the United Kingdom, TED for European tenders alongside the KVK register in the Netherlands and the Handelsregister in Germany, and AusTender with the ASIC company register in Australia.
